Merril Lynch has a big office in Houston. They would have a big
problem if a hurricane were to hit the place. To guard against
this they have another office in an inland city that is
essentially a continuously updated electronic replica. At a
moment's notice they can packup, come here and operate all aspects of
their business. Instead of an office, each account manager just
gets a chair here. Of course, like all insurance, this is a place
they hope they will never need.
