Meteostar is in the weather business. They provide detailed
weather data in an easy to use form for customers like the Federal
Aviation Administration and the Texas Commision on Environmental
Quality. They have an office in Round Rock where they develop
software.

This dish receives an enormous amount of data from the National
Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration.

Note the low angle of this dish. It is picking up a signal from
Europe via a satellite over the Atlantic Ocean.

Note the metal heater tape on this dish. When the sensor on the
front edge of the dish detects snow or ice, this tape heats up the dish
to prevent build up. This dish is in Fort Worth where it
doesn't really snow that much. The signal is so critical however
that they didn't want to take any chances.

Five months later its back to Fort Worth to put in another dish!
