Like most radio
station operators, Border Media Partners use satellite
dishes to pick up various
nationally syndicated programs. They also uplink some of their
own programming from places like Dallas and San Antonio to be received
by satellite at other cities.
Here is their
Austin headquarters. Two of these dishes are
motorized so that they can change satellites at a moment's notice.

So you've got
all this great programming from your satellite dishes,
now how do you get it to the trasmitter sites. That is where the
STL(Studio to Transmitter Link) dishes come into play.

Dishes are often
located with the transmitter so like this one, they
end up "outstanding in their field"

How do you control
a transmitter so remote the phone lines don't even work? By two
way satellite of course!

Many more Border
Media Partners pictures coming. I installed 2 at their brand new
studio in Laredo, 3 at their brand new studio in McAllen and 4 at their
brand new studio in Austin. All done in February and March of
2006 during which time I missplaced my camera. These guys are
growing fast!
